The Auto-Pilot automatically downloads pictures. It works by randomly adding new pages {A page starts as a url address of a web-page and is listed on the left-hand side of the Nici window. When a page is first added, it is classified as a waiting page, then as a downloading page, then as a finished page. The Nici-Quick strategy further classifies a finished page as either a picture page or directory page depending on what it contains. More } when there are no other waiting pages.

The Auto-Pilot works with the Nici-Quick {Nici-Quick is the default download strategy. It quickly and efficiently downloads, and classifies pages as either Picture pages or Directory pages. Nici also offers the Crawl download strategy which can be used if Nici-Quick does not correctly handle the page. More } download strategy doing two tasks:

Nici comes with a built in list of Directory page {The Nici-Quick download strategy classifies a web-page as a Directory page if it contains many links to picture pages. Directory pages are often updated each day with new links and can be used to add new picture pages to the download line. More } addresses which the Auto-Pilot uses. To add your own addresses to the Auto-Pilot, simply download the page at that address. Any pages that Nici identifies as directory pages are added to the list of url addresses used by the Auto-Pilot.

Use the Auto Pilot preferences window to control what the Auto-Pilot downloads

Enter Boost words and the Auto-Pilot will download more pages that have url addresses, or link descriptions that contain that word. Block words work the opposite; Nici will avoid pages that contain the words.

Nici uses case insensitive matching. For example "big" matches all of: "big" "Big" "biggest" and "very big"

If you check the Automatically Download Movies box, Nici will download any movies that it finds on the download pages. If you do not automatically download movies, Nici will still identify any pages that contain movies, and you can manually download them later.

If you check the Boost Movie Pages box, Nici will attempt to download more Pages that link to movies.
