An analysis and review of the Persian Kitty tgp
Compare PK to other TGPs:
The web is not just for browsing, searching and viewing information. The goal of the web (according to the w3c.org) is to facilitate machine processing to enable people to solve complex problems and save time.
Nici is software designed to do just that. It is software that traverses the web, finding pictures and movies, and showing them to you in a more natural way.
If you have the problem of wanting to automatically download and save 1000's of free pictures ... Nici is the solution.

Our Summary: Persian Kitty gets top marks in our books as a text based, direct linking TGP.
We did have one minor irritation. PK uses scripts to change the status bar. It manually sets the status bar to the url rather than letting the browser do it. The common reason for doing this is so the TGP can redirect the surfer to another site blindly. However, PersianKitty is as clean as a whistle ... no evidence of skimming or blind redirects. (See the gallery section below).
It was nice to see PersianKitty being a responsible web citizen and using multiple methods to label its content as unsuitable for children.

 Strangely persian kitty has a lower alexa rank than some of the other tgps, but is searched for 201,318 times per month which is better than most |

 At the top of the page is the persiankitty's logo, followed by a full page ad then a recommended sites list and internal navigation. It is about four scroll pages to get to main part of the page which is also surrounded by banners |

 Uses direct linking which gives it a pass mark. www.persiankitty.com does micro-manage the status bar, changing it everytime your mouse hovers over a hyperlink. There is no need for this, see hardcorejunky for an alternative that still scored an A+. |

Persiankitty, or at least the page we studied, focuses on pictures. The average daily update of 76.9MB puts it in the top 20%, while its movie average of only 3.4MB is negligable |
