Directory Pages and Lists of Links

It is easy to find and add webpages to download. If you wish, you can simply turn on the Auto Pilot and let Nici do this automatically.

One of the tedious aspects of the old style web crawler/downloaders was knowing (and then entering) the addresses of webpages to be downloaded.

Nici borrows from the ease of use of a web-browser ... clicking on webpage links automatically enters them to be downloaded.

There are many webpages, often updated daily, that list links to pages containing pictures. Nici labels these pages "Directory Pages". Nici comes with a favorites list of over 100 Directory pages that you can use to locate pictures.

Download one of these Directory pages and you are presented with links to literally 10s of 1000s of new pictures.

View the Directory page as a normal webpage and click on its links, or use Nici's specialized link viewer. Nici provides extra information which can help you decide which links to add:

• Highlights whether a link is fresh, or whether it was on the Directory page the previous time the page was downloaded.
• Optionally hides any links that you have already downloaded, or are waiting to download.
• Highlights links that are from the same webhost that you have previously downloaded good pictures from.
